Up and Running April 9, 2021

After a three-week shutdown due to COVID-19, the shower truck reopened on April 9, 2020.

Spearheaded by the Delray Beach Police Department’s Community Outreach Program which is led by Service Population Advocate Ariana Ciancio and Officer Damien Ferraiolo. The Delray City Commissioners and the Chief of Police authorized the re-opening of the shower truck. The services to assist and support the homeless with basic hygiene needs were needed more than ever after legislative orders were in place to discontinue many public services in the county due to the pandemic.

The Shower Truck will be operating with personnel from the Interfaith Committee and the Delray Beach Police Department on Tuesdays and Fridays so homeless individuals may have a place to receive a hot shower, hygiene products, and fresh clothing.

The Interfaith Committee wishes to thank the City of Delray Beach, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and our dedicated volunteers who operate the truck for their important work in helping to meet others' basic human needs.

100% of all donations received go towards program operations and expenses. Your support is deeply appreciated.
